Outer-Rim Exploration Services Pty Ltd, a 100% Australian owned company, was established in 1993 to conduct Pulse EM surface and downhole surveys using the Crone time domain system. The Crone PEM system was chosen because of its portability, reliability and, most importantly, consistence of data. This, combined with the Company’s experienced and dedicated personnel, and their professional approach to data collection, has led to ORE’s rapid growth and enviable reputation.
Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd (www.cronegeophysics.com) was founded in 1962 and quickly established a name for high quality instrumentation. Crone not only manufactures but operates their EM equipment and this interaction has lead to very practical and innovative refinements and upgrades. Crone continues to improve their equipment. They were the first to bring out the three component borehole probes and the O’Tool and Rad’tool to rotate the cross components. They have increased the transmitter power and the time base to cope with the very conductive environments that we encounter in Australia.
