LANDTEM or Flux Gate – How Do They Compare
A direct comparison was made of the LANDTEM and Flux Gate surface probes, with readings taken simultaneously. The two probes are comparable in the early to mid times but the LANDTEM shows superior data quality and S/N ratio in the late times.

Beautiful Sunday West, Forrestania Project, Western Australia – Image Resources Ltd
Conventional FLEM detected a deep (>325m) bedrock conductor but the orientation, dip and conductance were ill defined. A subsequent LANDTEM survey clearly defined the conductor and follow up drilling intersected massive sulphide.

Flying Fox, Western Australia – Western Areas NL
This is an early example of a LANDTEM survey showing the comparison with a conventional coil survey.

Denny Bore, Western Australia – Niagara Mining Ltd
In this example, a figure 8 loop was used to couple well with the target horizon but reduce the effect of a nearby conductive BIF horizon.

Tritton, New South Wales – Straits Resources Ltd
The Tritton example was one of the first tests of the LANDTEM system in Australia.
